A Guided Book Study
Operator Syndrome by Chris Frueh, PhD
MSOFC is hosting a 4-week long, facilitated book study of Operator Syndrome by Dr. Frueh. This study is the first Family90 Event MSOFC is hosting. It is an event for anyone invested in the health and well-being of the special operations community.
The study will use select book chapters as a foundation for conversations each week. Each week the study will incorporate self-care tips, discussion topics for you and your loved ones at home, expressive journaling prompts, and other resources.
Plan of Topics by Date
Listen in or engage at your comfort level. This book study will meet you where you are. Expect an email/calendar invite each week with details and information you need to join. Read the chapters for the week prior to the meeting. If you can’t read ahead, please attend anyway! Your presence and input are important, and a brief summary of reading highlights will be provided each.
Special Note from the facilitator, Ms. Vann:
Operator Syndrome is not a diagnosis, but rather an overarching structure under which multiple factors impacting warriors and their families exist. Many people have found this way of organizing these impacts to be validating — and you might experience a range of other thoughts and emotions – including anger, worry, sadness and fear — which will be addressed as a community within the study.
*If you want to participate anonymously, you may have your video off and either listen in or participate without video and other identifier. Each study will be recorded but not made public or distributed.
