The Military Special Operations Family Collaborative is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public health initiative for the Special Operations Forces (SOF) community. Our mission is to enable the sustained success of America's special ops warriors and families through collaborative health and well-being research and programs.

Adding certainty to the journey

The systemic gaps and barriers faced by special operations service members, veterans, and families impact their health, well-being, high performance, effective leadership, and ultimately community legacy. We uncover the root causes and do the hard and slow work to bring key stakeholders together for action to benefit the whole SOF community – and beyond.

Uncovering Gaps & Barriers

We collaborate with thought leaders to uncover and target the systemic gaps and barriers impacting SOF legacy.

Elevating What Works

We connect families to programs and resources that are culturally competent, high quality, ethical, and effective.

Educating for Impact

We create tools to support and enhance programs and key functions of our partners, including assessments, cultural competency education, family workshops, and more.

Thriving in Special Operations

SOF is a unique health subcommunity, consisting of 70,000 service members across the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force, their families, and an estimated 40,000+ veterans. We're forging a sense of belonging across service branch lines and empowering families to find the right resources at the right time.

Our vision is a community where SOF service members, veterans, spouses, and youth thrive amid the uncertainty and intensity of this lifestyle. We are taking action every day to make this vision a reality.
